முதியோர்களுக்கு அன்பும் ஆதரவும் — born from love for the forgotten, built to serve those who gave us everything.
Neyam Foundation is a registered public charitable trust that runs a free old age home and food charity programme for destitute elders, abandoned individuals, and underprivileged families across Tamil Nadu. We believe that every person who has lived a full life deserves dignity, warmth, a safe home, and a nutritious meal — not loneliness or hunger.
We provide free residential care for abandoned elders, serve thousands of free meals every month to those in need, and run community outreach drives to identify isolated elderly individuals in villages who have no one to turn to.
To provide free, dignified residential care, nutritious food and emotional support to abandoned and destitute elderly people across Tamil Nadu — with zero compromise on dignity.
A Tamil Nadu where no elder spends their last years in loneliness, hunger or neglect — where every person is seen, valued and cared for till their last breath.
We believe a society is measured by how it treats those who can no longer fend for themselves. Feeding a hungry elder is not charity — it is a debt we owe. Caring for the abandoned is not kindness — it is justice. Neyam Foundation exists to repay that debt, one meal and one smile at a time.
From a single rented room to a home that holds hundreds of hearts — this is how Neyam grew.
Neyam Foundation was born after our founders encountered an elderly woman left alone on the streets of Mayiladuthurai. Moved to act, they registered the trust and opened our first shelter with just 12 residents in a rented home.
We began our daily free meal distribution programme for destitute individuals in the Mayiladuthurai area — starting with 50 meals a day. Today that number exceeds 600 meals every single day.
With the support of donors and CSR partners, we moved to our own dedicated premises and expanded residential capacity to over 100 elders. Medical check-up camps and physiotherapy were added for residents.
We launched field teams to identify isolated and abandoned elderly people in remote villages across 10 districts — bringing them into our care or connecting them to local support networks and government schemes.
Neyam Foundation received official recognition from the Tamil Nadu Government for outstanding service to senior citizens and the destitute. 80G certification was completed, enabling donors to claim income tax exemption.
Today, Neyam Foundation cares for 340 residents across our facilities, serves over 18,000 free meals every month, and has conducted 120+ food charity drives across 18 districts of Tamil Nadu. Our journey of love continues.
Our Advisory Board brings together leaders from public service, healthcare, social work and civil society — united by a shared commitment to protect and honour Tamil Nadu's elderly and vulnerable communities.
Every member of our team contributes their skills, time and heart — because love for the elderly is not a job description, it is a calling.
Sponsor a meal, fund a month of care, or simply volunteer your time — every act of giving changes a life inside our home.
